Known by many names, (Flame Scallop, Flame Crab, Disco Clam, Electric Flame Scallop); the electric-like pulses along the mantle (the part that looks silvery-white) are actually reflective cells that reflect ambient light. The light looks like it is zipping back and forth, but that is just the movement of the mantle.
